Greenhouse Music

Greenhouse Music has been successfully operating since November 2001 thanks to grant funding from the Northern Rock Foundation. The project was initially set up to help residents of the Pennywell area to access free music based training and also offer rehearsal and recording facilities to local musicians.
In August 2004 we were successful in securing a further 2 years funding from the Northern Rock Foundation which enabled us to increase provision on a city-wide level using outreach venues in various communities.
In September 2004 Greenhouse secured sub contractor status with the Sunderland E2E delivery partnership which enabled us to add a youth training element to the project. Greenhouse Music now provides E2E which is a 22-week training programme for people aged between 16-18.
Courses on offer as part of our E2E programme include DJ skills, Music Technology, Guitar & Drum techniques and studio recording. We can also help you with job search.
As part of E2E you will receive upto £30 per week plus travel costs and you may also qualify for bonus payments.
For further information please contact Kellie Woods on 0191-5678700, we can be found based at 47-50 Nile Street, Sunderland SR1 1EY
