E2E For Employers
Entry to Employment (E2E) Providers in Sunderland offer high quality work-based learning and support for local young people who may be finding it difficult to kick-start a career. Continued support from local employers is an important part of making E2E work.
Sunderland providers are always looking for employers who can offer placements to meet a growing demand. And with 170,000 young people currently not in education, employment or training in England, E2E can play a major part in matching up employers' needs with a massive pool of untapped talent.
So, what is E2E?
E2E aims to help young people who are not yet ready to enter an Apprenticeship, Further Education or employment, to develop confidence, basic, key, personal and social skills to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of life and employment. Young people will have the opportunity to experience work placements, develop vocational and employability skills and understand more about the employment opportunities open to them.
Why do we need employers?
Employers are important to the success of E2E because they provide opportunities for young people to develop skills at work. If E2E aims to help young people develop the skills they need to enter the workplace and to realise their true potential, then the participation of employers is critical. We need companies of all sizes and types to get involved.
Who else is involved?
E2E is funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and is delivered through learning providers, the Connexions Service and other specialist agencies working together to help young people make progress.
Why should I get involved?
Hands on experience of the workplace is important for young people. It helps them to decide their future career path and widens their skills and knowledge. But there are also many benefits for employers too. Providing an opportunity for a young person on an E2E programme could help to answer skills shortages as well as see how potential employees fit in with your organisation.
