Hetton Lyons County Park offers a wide range of opportunities for both passive and active recreational use. From picnicking to mountain biking, there is plenty to keep the whole family occupied.
The park coveres 100 acres of reclaimed land, part of which was the former Hetton Colliery.

We offer E2E (entry to employment) the opportunity of training on site and taking part in watersports, horticulture, orienteering and cycling as well as gaining a recognised certificate in the chosen areas.
