Many young people in Sunderland benefit from the kind of outdoor experiences organised by the Allenheads Lodge Outdoor Education Centre.
Allenheads Lodge is located in the heart of the North Pennines. It is an excellent place to go for a whole range of outdoor activities like rock climbing, camping, canoeing, orienteering and gorge walking. It's even right in the middle of the Coast to Coast Cycle track.
Maria Irving of Springboard who manages bookings from E2E Providers in Sunderland thinks Allenheads Lodge's E2E programmes are a welcome break from activities in the City. "We hope E2E learners can have fun while they are learning. Activities at the Lodge help young people develop as people."
