The LEAP (Learning, Experience, Achievement, Progression) Project is an exciting new addition to E2E provision in Sunderland.

Partly funded by the European Community, the Project looks to offer additional activites in art and music to interest and motivate young people and keep them on the programme.
The project is manned by Connexions Personal Adviser Joanne Adams, Employer Liaison Officer Paula Splevins, Mentor Austin Girdlestone, musician Nick Adams and well-known local artist Malcolm Dobbins. They have put together programmes of work and support that aim to develop the skills young people need in the world of work but in a fun and enjoyable way. The first projects are ready to roll and include silk painting, DJing, bass guitar, problem-solving and communication.
LEAP will work with E2E providers and young people right across the City. Jean Woods at Springboard (tel 567 8647) has more information.
