Another batch of ETEC trainees sampled the sweet taste of success with awards ceremonies at the Trade Centre in Coronation Street in October and November.
Liam Cowie was voted Trainee of the month in the bricklaying department for September and October.
Chris Stothard took honours as Trainee of the month in painting and decorating with Gary Dobinson scooping the Skills for Life award in September. Gary also scooped the award of Trainee of the month in painting and decorating for October. Natalie Stephenson took the honours in administration and information technology for the same month.
Three trainees were rewarded for having notched up 100 per cent attendance for the past six months. They were Aaron Donkin, James Bulmer and Steven Reed.
September's award for outstanding pregress towards an NVQ was given to Sayeda Begum, a Foundation Modern Apprentice in ETEC's Finance and Administration department. She made 25 per cent progress towards her qualification in one month.
Aaron Sinclair was voted most promising trainee in the Building People Project with David Harvey taking the honours for Skills for Life.
David Broderick and Chris Newby notched up 100 per cent attendance in the period running up to the November awards ceremony.
Michael Gray, who is currently studying towards an NVQ Level 1 in Information Technology, made most progress towards his qualification notching up 64 per cent progress
